Lane reconstruction on I-465 between I-69 and Allisonville Road

As part of the I-465/Allisonville Road project, crews are replacing uneven pavement in the left lane of westbound I-465. Work on this lane reconstruction began on Sept. 13; however, when crews excavated the pavement, they encountered unexpected issues with soil beneath the roadway and stopped that portion of construction to await analysis results. Work has commenced and, weather permitting, is now expected to be complete by late November.

Currently, one lane is restricted on the ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465. Some overnight lane restrictions on I-465 between I-69 and Allisonville Road should be expected between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. INDOT and its contractor intend to have all work on the new pavement complete and all traffic configurations on I-465 and the I-69 ramp returned to normal before the Thanksgiving holiday.
